Job Title: Senior Engineering Geologist
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Senior Engineering Geologist to join a well-established ground investigation consultancy in Harrogate. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of residential, commercial and major infrastructure projects while taking on increased responsibility within a growing technical team.

The successful Senior Engineering Geologist will be responsible for managing projects from initial tender stage through to final delivery, combining technical reporting with site supervision and client-facing responsibilities. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and supporting the continued growth of the team.

The role of the Senior Engineering Geologist will involve:

  • Managing and delivering ground investigation projects
  • Overseeing site investigations and supervising subcontractors
  • Logging soil and rock to current industry standards
  • Producing and reviewing factual and interpretative reports
  • Completing Phase 1 and Phase 2 geoenvironmental assessments
  • Geotechnical analysis including slope stability and foundation recommendations
  • Client liaison and project management responsibilities
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and geologists
