Facilities Maintenance Manager – Glasgow
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of maintenance technicians to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to support team development.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the maintenance team, resolving operational issues promptly.
Maintenance Operations
- Plan, schedule, and prioritise workloads to ensure efficient day-to-day maintenance operations.
- Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, on time, and in line with required standards and specifications.
Health & Safety
- Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture across all maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor team and operational performance, identifying opportunities to improve productivity and quality.
- Implement improvements to processes, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate maintenance activities across departments to minimise downtime and operational impact.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding maintenance schedules, issues, and progress.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation.
- Produce regular reports on performance, maintenance metrics, and improvement initiatives.
