Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor sought, Bristol. Bekk R Solutions are delighted to once again support a national contractor seeking further commercial support with the addition of a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor to their Wales and West team. The successful candidate will initially oversee a large commercial facility in north Bristol valued at circa £35M MEP, supporting the regional business there on. The scheme is utilising an NEC 4 form of contract; NEC contract knowledge would be advantageous.

Day to day,

• Leading and managing the project commercial team, providing support, guidance, and development.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities across live projects.
• Working closely with project teams to ensure contractual obligations are understood and delivered.
• Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Leading negotiations on contract terms, valuations, and final account settlements.
• Supporting the Commercial Director with management accounts, business plans, and contract reviews.
• Preparing and submitting applications for payment and working with finance to ensure timely receipt.
• Managing subcontract agreements and ongoing commercial performance.
• Maintaining accurate records to support decision-making and avoid disputes.
• Promoting a positive, safety-first culture across all activities.

What you’ll need to succeed,

• Strong experience in commercial management within construction (MEP / Contracting etc)
• Experience working with NEC contracts
• Proven experience managing and developing a team
• Degree or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying or commercial management
