Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer specialising in maritime structures and civil engineering works. This opportunity will involve working on a major dockside project in Kent within a fast-paced and technically demanding environment.

We are looking for a motivated engineer with previous experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, or marine projects who is confident managing site engineering duties and supporting project delivery on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setting out and surveying works on site
  • Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements
  • Carrying out quality inspections and maintaining accurate site records
  • Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and project teams
  • Supporting health & safety compliance across the project
  • Assisting with technical problem solving and reporting
  • Coordinating daily engineering activities to support efficient project delivery
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, infrastructure, or marine environments
  • Competent using setting out and surveying equipment
  • Strong understanding of construction and site operations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • CSCS card and relevant engineering qualifications preferred
Working Hours
  • Standard working hours are 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Saturday (60 hours per week), inclusive of a one-hour unpaid lunch break each day.
  • Due to the nature of the project, the role requires working six days per week in line with the project programme.
  • Depending on project requirements, there may be a need to work additional hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Night shifts may also be required and are operated on a rotating roster, typically on a 12-days-on, 2-days-off pattern, which may include weekend work as part of the rotation.
