Site Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 Construction Contractor on a major flagship project in Manchester City Centre. This high-profile development is scheduled to run for approximately three years, offering long-term work stability and the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of the project, supporting site operations and ensuring works are completed safely, accurately, and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying works on site.
• Managing quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Producing and maintaining accurate site records.
• Coordinating with site management, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with project specifications and drawings.
• Supporting health and safety compliance across the project.
• Assisting with progress reporting and technical problem-solving.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on major construction projects.
• Strong setting-out experience.
• Proficient in the use of surveying equipment and engineering software.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• CSCS Card (essential).
• Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
