Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways scheme in Bath on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project with a reputable contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out for highways works including drainage, earthworks, and road construction
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with project specifications and drawings
• Carrying out quality assurance checks and maintaining accurate site records
• Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and survey teams
• Producing and reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
• Managing as-built surveys and documentation
• Supporting the delivery team to ensure project milestones are met

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or infrastructure projects
• Strong setting out skills (GPS, Total Station)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• CSCS card (essential)
• Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

• Experience working on major highways schemes
• Knowledge of QA processes and site documentation
• SMSTS or SSSTS (advantageous)
