Site Manager

If you're a Site Manager who enjoys taking ownership of fast-paced leisure and community schemes, this is a great opportunity to lead the delivery of a major new-build project. You'll be overseeing a £35m leisure centre development, managing both internal and external packages from early works through to final completion and handover.

This is a hands-on role for someone confident running site operations, coordinating trades, and driving programme performance across multiple work fronts. You'll need to be equally comfortable managing building envelopes and external works as you are with complex internal fit-out elements.

The role offers a £270 - £300 per day (CIS) rate, with long-term project duration and strong continuity of work through to completion.

This freelance Site Manager position is focused on delivering a large-scale leisure facility, overseeing day-to-day site operations across both internal fit-out packages and external construction works.

You'll be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery across all site activities, working closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and consultants to maintain programme and quality standards.

It's a role suited to someone practical, organised, and proactive, who can manage multiple trades and packages simultaneously while keeping tight control of site progress.

Responsibilities for Site Manager

* Manage day-to-day site operations on a £29m leisure centre project
* Oversee both internal fit-out and external construction packages
* Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely and to programme
* Monitor site progress, quality, and compliance across all work fronts
* Support planning and sequencing of works to maintain project milestones
* Liaise with project managers, consultants, and site teams to resolve issues quickly
* Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at all times on site

Requirements for Site Manager

* SMSTS
* CSCS Card
* First Aid at Work
* Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects
* Strong background in managing both internal fit-out and external packages
* Ability to coordinate multiple trades on a live construction site
* Strong understanding of site health & safety and programme delivery
