Sphere Solutions are working in partnership with a leading national house builder to recruit an experienced Site Manager to join a major residential development in Plymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established developer with a strong pipeline of work and high-quality projects across the South West.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations on a steel frame apartment development
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site teams
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to programme
• Maintain high standards of quality control and workmanship throughout the project
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with building regulations and company standards
• Monitor progress against programme and report on site activities
• Ensure materials, labour, and plant resources are effectively coordinated
• Chair and attend site meetings with subcontractors and stakeholders
• Maintain excellent health & safety standards and site compliance
• Liaise with technical, commercial, and customer care departments as required
• Manage snagging, inspections, and handover processes

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager, preferably with steel frame experience.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and programme management.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades on busy construction sites.
• Excellent health & safety knowledge and site management capability.
• SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid at Work is essential.
