Despatch Supervisor - NIGHT SHIFT
- 12 hour shifts, 4 On 4 Off
- 6pm - 6am

The role
To lead, manage and develop your team to work safely, effective and efficiently to service our customer with the best possible product. To follow and develop processes to ensure our customers receive the correct product on time and in full. To drive a culture of continuous improvement; empowering your team to improve performance, increase and maintain quality, reduce waste and delivery your departments KPIs.
To communicate effectively to both your team and your stakeholders, including Hygiene, Technical, Engineering, Stores, Production, Finishing, Drivers.
The main responsibilities include:
Technical
- Rotating stock to ensure stock is available for the outbound team
- Labelling stocks with correct information
- Visually check products are produced to specification when receipting stock.
- Ensure GMP standards are met, and warehouse is always audit ready.
- Take an active role throughout audits and high-profile visits.
Team Leadership, Management & Development
- To communicate with your shift manager, production, and finishing.
- Fit for purpose processes which are reviewed regularly and updated as required.
- To keep training matrix up to date and audit ready.
- To liaise with agency suppliers and feedback on performance
- To minimise waste
- Lead and develop your team of Inbound Warehouse Operatives
- Ensure all communication is delivered accurately and timely
- HR/ People tasks such as completing return to works and 121’s.
Paperwork
- Ensure all paperwork is completed on time in full.
- Recording all information throughout the working day
- Use software to transfer stock between sites
Stock Management/Service Level
- Responsible for ensuring product is unloaded in a timely fashion, and dates checked to ensure stock labelled correctly.
- Responsible for the despatch warehouse, to ensure area is clean and free from any H&S risks.
- Labels generated with correct information to ensure accurate stock rotation

About You:

What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a similar environment (Goods In/Stores/Warehousing)
- Understanding of WMS systems
- Previous experience of managing a team.
- Ability to deliver under pressure and maintain positive attitude
- Enthusiasm and tenacity to work and achieve goals
- Good organisational skills, ability to plan own time and prioritise tasks (and that of your team)
- Ability to work to high standards, driving continuous improvement
- Ability to take initiative and co-operate with decision making processes
