The Property Insurance team acts for many of the UK’s leading property insurers, handling a broad range of property damage claims arising from events such as fire, flood, escape of water, storm, explosion, and vehicle impact.

The team manages a mix of high value and high profile litigation matters and continues to expand as new and existing client relationships develop.

You will join a knowledgeable and supportive team with a strong reputation for delivering high quality legal work and maintaining excellent industry relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of predominantly multi track property damage claims, primarily claimant with some defendant work
  • Handle coverage disputes and provide clear, commercially focused legal advice to clients
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships within the insurance sector
  • Take ownership of key client matters and contribute to account development
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior legal team members
  • Contribute to cross departmental projects and initiatives
  • Deliver presentations, training sessions, seminars, and business development activity
  • Support thought leadership and share market insights to develop new services
  • Meet financial and performance targets while maintaining professional standards
  • Ensure compliance with SRA regulations, data protection requirements, and internal policies

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this Solicitor / Associate – Property Insurance role, you will need:

  • Qualified lawyer with 4+ years PQE
  • Strong experience in insurance litigation and property damage claims
  • Experience handling complex or multi track litigation matters
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organisational and case management skills
  • Proactive, commercially aware, and detail focused approach
  • Commitment to ongoing technical and professional development
  • Ability to challenge and analyse information effectively
