Location: Wymondham College

Salary: FTE: £27,694, Pro-rata £25,339 - £25,727 per annum, including an allowance for holiday pay

Vacancy Type: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, term-time only

The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in leading the day‑to‑day operations of the Catering Department, ensuring high standards, effective teamwork, and a positive, professional service across the site.

  • Be able to multi-task and work under pressure;
  • Be flexible and resilient in managing and executing their daily responsibilities;
  • Able to demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills;
  • Willingness to accept responsibility for your own actions;
  • The ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines and accept challenges.

The qualifications and experience required of a Sous Chef are:

  • Experience in a busy kitchen
  • Supervisory experience
  • Training staff experience
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and H&S
