About the Role
Connex Education is seeking passionateSpecial Educational Needs Teachers to support a variety of specialist schools across Gloucestershire.
We have a broad range of opportunities available, including flexible supply work, short-term cover and long-term placements. These roles offer the opportunity to work within supportive specialist settings where teaching is highly personalised and centred around the individual needs of each pupil.
Our partner schools support children and young people with needs including ASC, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, SLCN, emotionally based school avoidance and other complex learning needs. We carefully match teachers to schools that align with their skills, interests, and preferred age ranges.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEND practitioners or mainstream teachers and ECTs looking to broaden their experience within specialist education.
What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) - ECTs are welcome to apply

Experience supporting pupils with SEND or SEMH needs

Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills

A calm, patient, and resilient approach

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Connex Education
