Stores Operative (IT / Logistics)

Location: Salisbury (on‑site)
Salary: £up to £36,000
Security Clearance: SC eligibility required

We are recruiting a Stores Operative to support the day‑to‑day operation of a secure IT stores environment. This is a hands‑on logistics role, working on‑site as part of a stores team to ensure IT equipment is received, stored, tracked and dispatched accurately and safely.

You'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by following defined processes, maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring the stores area meets all Health & Safety standards.



Key responsibilities

  • Carrying out day‑to‑day logistics and stores activities in a safe and professional manner
  • Receiving, storing, maintaining and dispatching equipment in line with defined processes
  • Using inventory management systems and documentation to accurately track stock
  • Managing stock control procedures and maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Conducting regular stock checks and investigating discrepancies
  • Ensuring all stores areas remain compliant with Health & Safety regulations
  • Supporting wider stores operations and working to agreed KPIs and SLAs


Skills and experience required

  • Previous experience in a Warehouse, Stores or Logistics Operative role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
  • Comfortable using IT systems and documentation as part of daily work
  • Experience working to KPIs and SLAs
  • Full Manual UK Driving Licence (essential)
