Senior Street Lighting Engineer
 
A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Street Lighting Engineer to take ownership of a major capital programme. This role focuses on the delivery of street lighting improvements, combining site supervision with project leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality infrastructure delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
·Lead delivery of street lighting column and lantern replacement programmes
·Carry out pre-installation site checks and technical assessments
·Supervise contractors on-site, ensuring works meet safety and quality standards
·Oversee installation, testing, and final certification of lighting assets
·Manage project progress, ensuring delivery to time and budget
·Provide technical guidance on maintenance and capital works
·Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders to coordinate project delivery
·Ensure compliance with UK highways and street lighting standards
Requirements
·Strong experience in street lighting maintenance and capital works delivery
·Proven ability to supervise contractors and manage on-site activity
·Experience delivering end-to-end replacement programmes
·Knowledge of inspection, testing, and certification processes
·Understanding of UK street lighting standards and regulations
·Street lighting design knowledge (desirable)
