The Role
As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for delivering design work, conducting inspections, and providing construction site support for major infrastructure programmes. Your day-to-day tasks will include performing concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline projects, analysing and designing using industry-standard engineering software, and generating technical reports. You will prepare calculations, develop material specifications, manage CDM activities, and coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts. Moreover, you will mentor team members, fostering technical development and ensuring high-quality project delivery from design to construction.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- A degree-qualified (BEng or MEng) Civil or Structural Engineer
- Proven experience in designing reinforced concrete and steel structures
- Expert knowledge of seismic design requirements for waste storage or processing plants
- Extensive experience in using BIM packages and digital engineering workflows
- Skilled in producing deliverables for early-stage constructability assessments and HAZOPs
