Ethos Education is recruiting a Student Welfare Officer for a secondary school in East Sussex. This is a full time role supporting students with attendance, wellbeing, safeguarding and day to day pastoral support.
The school has a strong focus on inclusion, consistency and student support. This role would suit someone with experience in pastoral care, youth work, behaviour support or safeguarding within an educational setting.
The role
• Supporting student wellbeing and emotional welfare
• Working with pupils on attendance and engagement
• Liaising with families, safeguarding teams and external agencies
• Providing pastoral support throughout the school day
• Supporting students with behaviour and emotional regulation
The candidate
• Experience working with young people
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Calm, organised and resilient approach
• Understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing
• Experience in schools, youth work or pastoral support desirable
