Job Title: Teacher of Design & Technology (DT)
Location: Secondary School, Ealing, West London
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent 
Salary: Competitive, in line with experience (MPS/UPS)

We are working in partnership with a high-performing and inclusive secondary school in Ealing to recruit a creative and enthusiastic Teacher of Design & Technology.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher to join a well-resourced DT department within a school that values innovation, practical learning, and academic achievement.

The Role:

  • Teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS3/KS4), with potential KS5 depending on experience
  • Deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons across DT disciplines 
  • Inspire students through hands-on learning and real-world design challenges
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the DT department
  • Ensure high standards of health and safety in workshops and practical environments
  • Monitor, assess, and support student progress to maximise attainment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • A degree or strong background in Design & Technology or a related field
  • Experience teaching DT at secondary level (KS3/KS4 essential; KS5 desirable)
  • Strong practical workshop skills and subject knowledge
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
  • Excellent classroom management and a commitment to safe working practices
