Long Term Futures are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a modern, two-form entry primary school in Nuneaton. This long-term role will involve supporting teaching and learning across Years 5 and 6, working closely with class teachers to raise attainment, deliver interventions and support pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

The Role
- Support teaching and learning across Year 5 and Year 6 classrooms
- Deliver small-group interventions in English and Maths, including SATs preparation
- Support pupils with SEND and varying learning needs to access the curriculum
- Promote positive behaviour and use effective behaviour management strategies
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, confidence and engagement in learning
- Assist with classroom preparation, resources and displays
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience working within a primary school setting
- Experience supporting Upper Key Stage 2 pupils
- Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and Year 6 SATs preparation
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, positive and flexible approach to supporting learning
