We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Team Leader of Design Technology to lead and develop a successful DT provision while delivering high-quality teaching across Design Technology and Food & Nutrition.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established teacher or current middle leader looking to take the next step within a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school environment.

As Team Leader, you will play a key role in driving standards, developing curriculum, supporting colleagues, and ensuring students receive an engaging and ambitious learning experience.

The role:

• Lead and manage the Design Technology department
• Deliver engaging lessons across Design Technology and Food & Nutrition
• Develop curriculum planning and department strategy
• Monitor progress and raise attainment across the subject area
• Support and develop colleagues within the department
• Support and develop teaching staff across the department
• Create an inclusive, safe and inspiring learning environment
• Contribute to wider school improvement initiatives

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Has experience teaching Design Technology and Food & Nutrition at secondary level
• Has a strong track record of securing positive outcomes for students
• Demonstrates leadership capability and the ability to motivate a team
• Has excellent organisation, communication and relationship-building skills
• Is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning
