Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking an experienced Technical Change & Implementation Manager to lead the stabilisation and delivery of a critical government contract.
Job Overview
This role plays a pivotal part in transitioning a complex and high‑profile contract from its current state into a fully operational, business‑as‑usual (BAU) environment. The postholder will ensure delivery is controlled, compliant, and sustainable, with a strong focus on governance, engineering alignment, and operational assurance.
Acting as the accountable technical lead, the Technical Change & Implementation Manager will translate contractual requirements into effective operational delivery. The role will drive performance, manage risk, and embed robust processes and systems to support long‑term service excellence and continuous improvement across engineering and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver end‑to‑end programme execution, from contract interpretation through to engineering delivery and payment
- Lead the retroactive mobilisation of the contract, implementing required processes, controls, and systems
- Develop and deliver large‑scale engineering improvement and rectification programmes
- Translate contractual obligations into operational delivery models, including PPM schedules and service workflows
- Align engineering delivery to ensure work is appropriately scheduled and assigned based on skills, location, and access
- Act as the accountable lead for technical service performance, ensuring KPIs, SLAs, and compliance standards are met
- Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, managing technical and operational risk and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Ensure processes, procedures, and reporting are embedded within internal systems and standard ways of working
Person Specification
- Proven experience delivering complex technical change, mobilisation, or stabilisation programmes
- Strong background in engineering service delivery or facilities management environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate contractual requirements into practical operational delivery models
- Expertise in governance, systems implementation, and process improvement
- Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Familiarity with CAFM systems such as Maximo or similar platforms
- Strong contract management capability
- In‑depth knowledge of SFG20 standards
