Job Title: Technical Manager (HVAC / Air Conditioning)
Location: Newcastle

We’re recruiting for a Technical Manager with a strong HVAC / Air Conditioning background to support a major facilities management contract in Newcastle.

This is a leadership role managing a team of 15 engineers, focused on technical delivery, compliance and performance across HVAC systems — all within a 100% office-based environment.

The Role

• Managing and supporting a team of 15 HVAC / AC engineers
• Overseeing PPM and reactive maintenance delivery across the contract
• Acting as the technical lead for HVAC systems and escalations
• Driving system performance, uptime and energy efficiency
• Leading on compliance, including F-Gas and health & safety
• Managing projects including upgrades, installs and lifecycle works
• Working closely with the client and internal stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong HVAC / Air Conditioning background within FM
• Experience managing or supervising engineering teams
• Good understanding of compliance (F-Gas, H&S, etc.)
• Experience in maintenance, fault finding and system optimisation
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
