Salary: £40,000 to £45,000

An opportunity has opened for a Technical Sales Assistant to join an engineering company based in Shrewsbury. The ideal candidate will have a background within customer service and sales. You will also have a background within an Engineering company, preferably lifting equipment, cranes or similar.
The role doesn’t require any sales calls to be made or business development as they have already built a reliable customer base but you will be handling any incoming enquiries and advising clients on services provided.
Technical Sales Assistant Key Skills:
- Experience within Engineering or Manufacturing – ideally lifting equipment
- Technical engineering knowledge
- Inbound sales background
- Experience of building and maintaining customer relationships
- Negotiation skills and upselling experience
- Confident in providing advice to clients and explaining services
- LOLER or PUWER knowledge would be beneficial
Technical Sales Assistant Responsibilities:
- Taking inbound calls from clients and providing advice
- Maintaining client relationships
- Presenting to clients with technical details of services that the business provides
- Negotiating prices inline with company price points
- Providing technical insight on crane systems and other lifting equipment
- Ensure industry standards are met
