Job Title: Technical Supervisor  

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Technical Supervisor to join the team located in London. 

Role Summary: 

As a CBRE Technical Supervisor you will provide leadership, management, and development of the Account portfolio ensuring technical operational and contractual commitments are met and exceeded in a safe, compliant, diligent, and cost-effective manner. 

Manage a maintenance team and approved sub-contractors to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of PPM and reactive maintenance in line with CBRE policies and procedures, industry standards and manufacturers recommendations to meet the needs of The Account.  

Key Tasks:  

  • Responsible for ensuring that the FM CAFM system is maintained and updated at every stage with detailed closure notes for PPM, reactive tasks and ad hoc or emergency requests in real time or as soon as possible following attendance. 

  • Manage and coach direct reports to raise observation reports as they go about their daily tasks and lead by example by doing the same.   

  • Manage team to ensure that all tasks are consistently performed in adherence with CBRE and client policies and procedures, industry best practices and manufacturer recommendations.   

  • Ensure that safety is a key priority and that self and team consistently demonstrate understanding and commitment to health, safety and environment at all times.   

  • Review job reports following in house CBRE and subcontractor PPMs and ensure that a copy of the job reports and the detail of any recommendations are uploaded. 

  • Manage and distribute the on-call rota and ensure adequate coverage at all times in line with client requirements for the site.   

  • Lead the management of subcontractors in line with CBRE and client policies and procedures including control of works, Permit to Work etc.   

  • Undertake subcontractor service inspections during works being undertaken.   

  • Undertake site inspections and audits of tools and equipment   

  • Log book Audits to be carried out and any issues Highlighted/Addressed   

  • Take ownership of the onboarding process for new starts ensuring everything is in place for start date including uniforms, tools, payroll set up, induction and training plans.   

  • Ensure that direct reports are fully trained and competent in all aspects of the job including SOPs, method statements, The Account specific training and site-specific tasks. e.g GMP, labs, cleanrooms etc. if relevant and that training plans are signed off within the required timeframes. (Refer to site training plan)   

  • Support direct reports with training and development plans.  

  • Negotiate best price with suppliers and sub-contractors  

Experience Required: 

  • A background in Facilities Management is beneficial. 

  • Previous experience in a similar position.  

  • Degree/Qualification in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline. 

  • Supervisory experience  

  • Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus and commitment to continuous improvement.
