Therapeutic Care Lead:

The Role:
As a Therapeutic Care Lead, you'll work directly with children and young people while supporting care teams to deliver safe, consistent and high-quality care.
You'll help create positive outcomes by building meaningful relationships, promoting therapeutic practice and supporting service quality across multiple settings.
What You'll Do:
- Build positive and therapeutic relationships with children and young people
- Support young people with emotional, behavioural and mental health needs
- Coach and support care teams to deliver outstanding care
- Act as a positive role model for therapeutic and person-centred practice
- Carry out quality spot-check visits across services
- Support care planning, reviews and service improvement
- Promote trauma-informed and relationship-based approaches
- Support new staff through induction and guidance
Working Pattern:
This is a 37-hour per week contract, typically including:
- 2 x 12-hour shifts working directly with young people across days, nights and weekends
- 6 hour shift to complete 2-3 spot check visits per shift
- 7 hour, dedicated admin day for documentation, audits and quality improvement
During your first six weeks, you'll complete a structured induction programme Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed in the role.
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Passion for supporting children and young people
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Empathy, resilience and professionalism
- Ability to positively influence and support others
- Experience working in care, support, education, mental health or a related setting
Desirable:
- Degree in/studying Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, Health & Social Care, Criminology, Social Work or a related subject
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting young people with mental health, behavioural or emotional needs
- Full UK Driving Licence
