Van Technician Vacancy Opportunity with a Reputable Highway Maintenance Company in Larbert

Our client, a reputable Highway Maintenance Company based in Larbert, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Van Technician to join their workshop team.   • Competitive basic salary up to £49,400, with an OTE of approximately £53,000
  • Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 17:00, with early finish on Fridays

Duties:
  • Diagnose vehicle faults accurately, using manual methods or digital diagnostic tools
  • Prepare and present cost and time estimates for repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Repair or replace faulty vehicle parts in accordance with manufacturer standards
  • Refer complex repairs to specialists where necessary
  • Maintain accurate vehicle records in liaison with Transport Managers
  • Manage parts stock levels in coordination with the Stores team
  • Act as a mentor to apprentices or work experience candidates, sharing expertise and guidance
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies throughout all tasks
Requirements:
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred; significant experience considered
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence (essential for this role)
  • Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to undertake further training to enhance professional competencies
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
