Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to high standards
  • Perform general repairs, including clutches, timing belts, and chains
  • Carry out MOT testing in accordance with DVSA standards (qualification preferred)
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Assist with other workshop tasks to facilitate smooth operations
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician role:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Proficient with diagnostics and modern vehicle electronics
  • Ability to carry out inspections, repairs, and servicing independently
  • MOT testing qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Own tools suitable for a busy workshop environment
  • Positive attitude with proactive approach and good communication skills
  • Previous experience in a dealership or independent garage preferred
