Our client, a well-established independent family-run garage in Royston, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for automotive professionals looking to advance their careers within a reputable and supportive environment. The successful individual will be integral to delivering high-quality service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving the workshop’s success.

Key benefits:
  • Competitive salary up to £40,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, with Saturday rota hours

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct servicing, repairs, and diagnostics efficiently and accurately
  • Undertake vehicle road tests to confirm repairs and performance
  • Follow company guidelines to maintain high standards of workmanship
  • Ensure the professional image of the workshop is upheld at all times
  • Assist with general workshop duties as required as a Vehicle Technician
  • Maintain excellent communication with customers and internal teams
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar automotive role
  • Proven record of delivering excellent customer service
  • Strong understanding of automotive servicing and repairs
  • Valid driving licence is essential
  • MOT testing competence is desirable but not compulsory
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure
  • Qualified technicians, or those with extensive hands-on experience, are encouraged to apply
