Vehicle Technician – Main Dealership
  • Location: Derby
  • Salary: £37,000 basic | £42,500 OTE
  • Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week including weekends on a rota basis
Our client, a reputable main dealership in Derby, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their professional and modern workshop team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for skilled Vehicle Technicians to develop their careers with manufacturer training, EV/Hybrid accreditation, and clear progression pathways.

Duties:
  • Conduct servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance on customer vehicles to manufacturer standards
  • Complete diagnostic work and warranty repairs accurately using state-of-the-art equipment
  • Perform vehicle repairs such as cambelts, brakes, and general mechanical tasks
  • Carry out electronic vehicle health checks, including EV/Hybrid systems
  • Ensure all work is documented correctly via digital job cards and write-ups
  • Maintain high safety and quality standards throughout all tasks
  • Work collaboratively with the workshop team to meet productivity goals and uphold service excellence
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance qualification (IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a main dealership environment
  • Strong background in servicing and repairs, with diagnostics and fault-finding skills
  • MOT licence is beneficial but not essential
  • A full UK driving licence is mandatory
  • Motivated individual with a desire to learn and progress through manufacturer training
  • Excellent attention to detail and team-focused approach
