Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct repairs and servicing to the highest standards and manufacturer specifications
  • Diagnose faults accurately using advanced diagnostic equipment
  • Stay updated with the latest vehicle technology through relevant training
  • Complete all work whilst observing safe working practices and adhering to quality standards
  • Liaise with team members and supervisors to meet repair deadlines and quality benchmarks
  • Document service reports, warranties, and vehicle diagnostics electronically
  • Conduct detailed vehicle health checks and produce reports or videos efficiently
  • Maintain workshop safety, cleanliness, and tool protocols
  • Participate in manufacturer training pathways, including hybrid and electric vehicle technology
  • Assist in delivering high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service to enhance customer satisfaction
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 or IMI Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification
  • Proficient in numeracy, literacy, and IT skills
  • Enthusiastic and energetic approach to work
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Smart appearance and professional attitude
  • Ideally experienced within main dealer environments
  • Manufacturer training and certifications are desirable
