Our client, a reputable main dealership in Birmingham, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their expanding service team. Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Diagnosing vehicle faults utilizing the latest manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment
  • Conducting mechanical and electrical repairs to the highest standards
  • Supporting junior Vehicle technicians and apprentices through mentoring and guidance
  • Communicating with technical support and service advisors
  • Performing road tests to ensure repair quality and customer satisfaction
  • Carrying out routine vehicle servicing and health checks efficiently
  • Advising customers on additional repairs and providing technical feedback as appropriate
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Proven experience in a dealership or independent workshop environment
  • Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • MOT testing accreditation is highly desirable
  • EV training and manufacturer experience are advantageous but not compulsory
