Warehouse Operative

Location: Burton upon Trent
Hours: Full Time, 42.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm
A leading national distributor supplying products to the trade sector is seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join its busy depot in Burton upon Trent.

The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient running of the warehouse and the accurate fulfilment of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out general warehouse duties in a fast-paced environment
Picking and packing customer orders ready for delivery
Manual handling of heavier products including boilers and radiators
Loading and unloading delivery and collection vehicles
Booking stock into the warehouse management system
Storing stock in the correct warehouse locations
Processing stock and preparing orders for dispatch or collection
Operating a forklift truck
Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards
Following all Health & Safety procedures and guidelines
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience working within a busy warehouse environment
Forklift truck experience (advantageous)
Good numeracy skills and basic PC literacy
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
A strong work ethic and team-focused approach
The ability to work safely and efficiently in a physically demanding role
A full UK driving licence (advantageous)
