Are you passionate about helping students turn their talent in Hair and Beauty into a successful career?

Lancaster & Morecambe College is seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy team as a Work Placement Coordinator. Working closely with the Programme Area Manager and curriculum staff, you will play a vital role in developing students’ employability skills by sourcing, organising, and monitoring high-quality work placement opportunities within the Hair and Beauty sector. You will build strong links with local employers, ensuring students gain valuable, safe, and meaningful industry experience that supports their future career progression.

In this role, you will source, secure and manage placements with salons, spas and related employers, ensuring all opportunities meet safeguarding, health & safety, and insurance requirements. You will monitor student attendance, progress and conduct, carry out placement visits and reviews, and gather employer feedback. You will also support the delivery of employability workshops such as CV writing and interview skills, maintain accurate records of student progress and employer engagement, and work collaboratively with curriculum teams while supporting College marketing initiatives.
