KBM Resourcing are recruiting for a Yard Operative on behalf of a well-established engineering company. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining an organised yard and warehouse environment, supporting the safe movement, storage, and dispatch of equipment and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment.
• Receive and book in deliveries in line with company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised yard and warehouse.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
• Move equipment around the facility and update location records as required.
• Tag and label assets accurately.
• Manage delivery documentation and ensure paperwork is processed correctly.
• Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
• Support other operational activities as required, following appropriate training and guidance.

Essential Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence.
• Forklift certificate (B1 & B3 categories).
• Previous forklift operating experience.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable

• Experience in a yard, warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.
• Mechanical aptitude or interest in engineering equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
