About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our secure home in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or develop a career in youth support and residential care. No prior experience is necessary, as full training and induction will be provided. You will work as part of a professional team to support young people in building confidence, independence, and life skills within a structured, caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and care for young people in a secure residential setting, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
  • Act as a positive, consistent adult role model for young people
  • Assist in the development of confidence, independence, and daily life skills
  • Participate in activities and daily routines to promote personal growth and social development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high standards of care and support
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to young people's progress and wellbeing
  • Contribute to a safe, structured environment that encourages positive behaviour and development

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 21+ (legal requirement)
  • Reliable, motivated, and resilient with a caring attitude
  • Patience and the ability to work effectively with young people in challenging situations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a supportive, professional team
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • No prior experience necessary - full training and support provided
  • Additional desirable skills include basic safeguarding knowledge, emotional resilience, and a proactive approach to learning
