HGV Drivers transport goods around the UK using lorries above 7.5 tonnes. The role requires a Category C (Class 2) or C+E (Class 1) licence and a valid Driver CPC. Pay varies with route type — multi-drop urban, regional trunking, and long-distance Class 1 sit in different bands. Night and weekend premiums are common.
Salary range computed from current UK HGV Driver listings. Outliers excluded (25th–75th percentile of advertised salaries). Hourly, weekly and daily rates are annualised to a 37.5-hour week.
