Are you passionate about helping young children thrive in their early years? We're looking for a caring and dedicated 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to support a Reception-aged pupil at a primary school in Fawdon.   About the Role This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised support to a Reception pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and develop key social and emotional skills throughout the school day.   What You'll Be Doing
  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with SEND.
  • Supporting the pupil's engagement in classroom activities and routines.
  • Encouraging communication, independence and positive interactions.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider support staff.
  • Helping create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Who We're Looking For
  • Someone who is patient, caring and committed to supporting children's development.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of the importance of inclusion and personalised support.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
