We're working with a welcoming mainstream primary school looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient and confident supporting children who may present with behaviours that challenge. The school is looking for someone who can build a trusting relationship, promote positive behaviour and help the pupil access learning throughout the school day.
Your role will include:- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with SEMH needs.
- Using positive behaviour strategies to support emotional regulation.
- Building a consistent, trusting relationship that helps the pupil feel safe and engaged.
- Supporting learning within the classroom and adapting activities where needed.
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider pastoral team.
- Encouraging confidence, independence and social development.
- Has experience supporting children with SEMH and/or behavioural needs.
- Is calm, resilient and confident in managing behaviour positively.
- Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
- Is patient, empathetic and committed to helping children succeed.
- Has experience in a primary school or similar educational setting (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
