Location: Oldbury, Birmingham B68
Daily Rate: £110 - 120
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only), 08:30 - 15:30
Start Date: September 1st 2026
Contract: Long-Term temporary, academic year
Long Term Futures are recruiting for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school. This rewarding role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support for one or two pupils with SEN and EHCPs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their individual goals within the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEN and EHCPs.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and encourage participation.
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and engagement throughout the school day.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff to deliver effective support.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to implementing support strategies.
What We're Looking For:
- A minimum Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN in a primary school setting.
- Additional SEN-related training or qualifications would be highly advantageous.
- A patient, proactive, and nurturing approach with a genuine passion for supporting children.
