Pay: £92.59 - £110 per day, dependent on experience
CER Education is currently looking to recruit 1:1 support teaching assistants for primary schools in Huyton, Knowsley and the surrounding areas. This role would suit someone who is confident supporting children with additional needs in Key Stage 1 and is keen to make a positive difference to pupils' learning, confidence and day-to-day school experience.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team to provide tailored support for pupils within a KS1 setting. You will help children access classroom learning, develop independence, engage with routines and build positive relationships across the school day.
Role Responsibilities:
- Providing individual and small-group support to help children access learning and development.
- Assisting with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation and classroom routines.
- Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and engagement throughout the school day.
- Supporting personal care where required.
- Helping with general classroom activities, resources and pupil participation.
Job Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with SEND, such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs or global developmental delay.
- Previous experience within Key Stage 1 or a primary school setting is desirable.
- An Enhanced DBS on the live update service, or willingness to apply for one through CER Education.
- Right to work in the UK and professional references.
