1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a resilient and experienced 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in the Stockport area, starting September 2026.

You will provide dedicated support to a KS2 pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning while implementing positive behaviour strategies. This role is best suited to someone with experience supporting children with complex needs and challenging behaviour.

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience working 1:1 with pupils with SEND
• Hold a Team Teach qualification (essential)
• Be confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
• Be reliable, patient and committed to achieving positive outcomes

This is a full-time position beginning in September 2026.
