1:1 Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary School, the Wirral

Are you passionate about helping children thrive? We are seeking a committed and caring 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil at a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Wirral.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-to-one support for a specific pupil in a mainstream primary school setting

• Support the pupil’s personal, social and emotional development

• Monitor and record the pupil’s progress, behaviour and engagement

• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external agencies to deliver the pupil’s individual education plan (IEP)

• Promote positive behaviour while building the pupil’s confidence and independence

What We’re Looking For

• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

• Recent childcare or school-based experience gained within the past two years

• Two references confirming your experience of working with children

• A nurturing, patient and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning

• Experience providing one-to-one support for children with complex or additional needs is desirable but not essential
