A welcoming primary school in Bolton is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work alongside a pupil with multiple additional needs. For this child, a trusted adult makes all the difference. You will be that person, offering steady, gentle support from the moment they arrive until home time.
The Role
This is a care-focused position where the relationship comes first. You will help the pupil feel secure, comfortable and included, and support them to take part in school life at a pace that suits them.
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
- Build a warm, trusting bond with the pupil over time
- Assist with personal care, daily routines and communication
- Support emotional wellbeing and help the pupil feel settled
- Follow care plans and guidance from teachers, the SENCO and families
- Recognise and celebrate every small achievement

We're Looking For
- Experience supporting others, such as in a TA, LSA, support worker, care, youth work or volunteering role
- Psychology, education, childcare or health and social care graduates are very welcome
- Specialist school or residential children's home experience is desirable, but not essential
- A patient, kind and reliable nature
- Resilience and a positive outlook when days are challenging
No prior SEN experience? That's fine. Your compassion and commitment matter just as much, and you will be fully supported from day one.
