SEND Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (ASC)
Location: Morden Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8.30am-4.30pm Pay: £15.45-£16.53 per hour Start Date: 1st September Long‑term | Temp to Perm

A supportive primary setting in Morden is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work one‑to‑one with a 7‑year‑old pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
There is no personal care involved, but you will need to feel confident supporting a primary‑aged child who benefits from structure, reassurance and gentle encouragement throughout the day.
If you're someone who notices the small details, adapts thoughtfully and genuinely cares about helping children feel safe and understood, this role could be a great fit.
What Will You Be Doing Each Day?
- Providing consistent 1:1 support across lessons, transitions and outdoor learning
- Building a positive relationship that helps the child feel secure and confident
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation and social interaction
- Encouraging independence and celebrating small steps of progress
- Following the child's support plan and sharing observations with staff
- Helping create a calm, inclusive environment where the child can thrive

- Supporting learning in class, outdoors and during creative activities
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo

Experience in schools, childcare, tutoring, youth work, care or residential settings is welcomed. GCSE Maths & English at Grade C (or equivalent) required. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) essential.
