Reporting to the 3S Quality Director, the purpose of this role is to maintain the Quality Management System of SGB repair station, to ensure compliance with both EASA & UK CAA 145 regulations, and with EN9100 for Repair activity (SRV-05 process).


This position requires to be the main contact point of Regulatory bodies for Part 145, to provide comprehensive support to the repair station personnel and certifying staff, and to collaborate with the Quality Compliance team and with all areas of Safran Seats GB involved in the maintenance & repair activity.


Member of the Aftermarket Quality Team (includes FR, UK, US, Singapore & Dubai). Support and interaction with all SGB Functions involved in the maintenance & repair activity.


Liaison with Regulatory bodies and customers.


Travel not normally required except for cross-BU network & benchmark (international)

* Provide support for customer and regulatory (external) audits, to ensure process and procedural compliance to AS9100 and EASA 145. * Protect customers from non-quality, by ensuring that repaired products and practices comply with regulations, customer requirements and Safran standards and promoting a culture of prevention and anticipation
* Develop the Safety culture and SMS maturity within the Repair Station
* Drive continuous improvement, by capitalizing on factual data and feedback and providing the necessary support for the repair station.
* Undertake other reasonable duties, in line with Customer Support & Services business needs and objectives, which are consistent and commensurate with the overall purpose of the position.
* Develop and manage the internal audit programme to ensure compliance with EASA/UK CAA Part 145 requirements and support deployment of the Part 145 Management System across the Repair Station.
* Conduct internal, external, process and product audits, including support for Part 21G audits. * Manage audit findings, non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions, and support root cause investigations.
* Promote a strong safety culture and assist in managing operational safety risks.
* Work closely with Quality Compliance, Aftermarket and wider business teams on quality system matters.
* Support training and coaching in quality improvement tools, Human Factors and best practices. Monitor and facilitate the review of Repair Station documentation and procedures.

* Apprenticeship level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
* Quality background, with experience in MRO (P145), Aviation Safety (SMS) and Human Factors.
* Ability to communicate and develop good relationship with external stakeholders (Customers, Authorities), and internal stakeholders in a complex environment (multi cultural, remote management).
* Good knowledge of process management.
* Competent in MS packages.
* Excellent problem solving skills.
* Sound engineering / quality background, with experience of Quality inspection within a manufacturing / engineering industry.
* Competent / Confident communicator.
* Full UK Driving License.
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required by the role.
* This role may involve physical movement of product.

Desirable skills:

* Part 145 auditor.

* Experience within the Aerospace industry, preferably interiors.
* Commercial and production experience.
