1st Line IT Support Engineer needed for a permanent position based in Derby (Hybrid). Providing IT support to 1st line level including problem diagnosis, trouble-shooting + fixes.

A chance to join an established IT Managed Services business with a proven track record spanning 20+ years. Start ideally September/October 2026.

Hybrid Working – working from the Derby office 4 days/week, with the option to work 1 day/week from home (WFH).

  • Providing 1st line IT support to end users including: trouble-shooting, fixes, IT incident management, call logging, prioritisation, managing tickets + escalating complex IT incidents.
  • Providing IT support across a range of customer IT environments including: Desktop PCs, Servers, Networks, IT Infrastructure, Peripherals, Telephony, Applications, Software, Hardware, and IT Cyber Security.
  • Key supported technologies include: Windows Server 2012-2022, Office 365, Firewalls (Watchguard / Draytek), WDS, Intune, Entra.
  • Communicating with end users, working to agreed SLAs, updating the IT Helpdesk Ticketing system + writing clear IT documentation.
  • Assisting in the delivery of IT projects including: IT installations, rollouts, laptop upgrades, migrations + printer deployments.
  • Advantageous Skills: VMware / Hyper-V, Hosted Telecoms (Mitel, 3CX, Gamma, Horizon), IP Telephony, Linux, AWS/Azure Cloud, Access Control Systems, BCDR, CCTV IP.
  • IT qualifications advantageous: CompTIA, MCP, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, ITSM, Cyber Essentials (or similar).
  • Working for an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP), or IT Support businesses is advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
