Senior Internal Auditor (ISO 9001) - Contract

💰 £47-£52 per hour

An established organisation within the energy/infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to support a major project programme.
The Role
You will take ownership of delivering an internal audit plan across a complex construction/turnkey environment, ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001 standards. This role goes beyond compliance - you'll act as a trusted advisor, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver internal audits aligned to ISO 9001 requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk reduction
- Produce clear, concise, and solution-focused audit reports
- Work closely with project managers and site teams
- Promote consistent quality standards across project operations
Requirements
- Strong experience in internal auditing within construction, energy, or project environments
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
