2nd Line Engineer

Our client, a leading MSP is seeking a 2nd Line Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Due to an exciting period of growth our client is looking for a knowledgeable 2nd Line Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis, where you will be providing a high-level of day-to-day support to a broad range of clients, both remotely and on-site, whilst supporting on ad-hoc project work as well.
Due to the requirements of the role candidates will need access to their own vehicle and a valid drivers license.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with a minimum of 2 years’ providing 2nd Line support. Those with an MSP background will be at an advantage, however all industry backgrounds will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an escalation point for 2nd Line tasks
- Write and update user system documentation
- Complete a combination of day-to-day support tasks and project work for clients
- Act as the first point of contact for client requests and user queries
- Work both remotely and on-site for clients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adhering to SLAs and customer service targets
Key Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on 2nd Line support tasks
- Previous experience in an MSP environment would be advantageous, although not essential
- Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS & DHCP, Hyper-V
- Understanding of troubleshooting MS services such as Exchange / OneDrive / SharePoint / MS Teams
- Good networking understanding, including switches, routers and firewalls
- Windows 10 & 11 experience
- MS Azure experience is advantageous
