An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 3D Designer to join a growing business specialising in the design and manufacture of bespoke indoor play and family entertainment environments.

Working on projects across the UK and internationally, you will be responsible for producing creative 3D concepts, layouts, technical drawings and visualisations, helping transform customer requirements into functional, high-quality play environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative designer who enjoys combining technical accuracy with innovative design and working on a wide variety of bespoke projects.

The Role
As part of the design team, you will be responsible for producing 3D models, layouts and technical drawings for customer projects, working closely with colleagues across design, sales and production to ensure projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create bespoke 3D models, layouts and technical drawings for customer projects.
  • Produce 2D plans to support functionality and space planning.
  • Design and amend concepts to meet customer specifications and project requirements.
  • Produce high-quality 3D renderings for indoor play structures and family entertainment centres.
  • Interpret customer specifications, engineering drawings and design requirements.
  • Review drawings and designs to identify and resolve technical or specification issues.
  • Design in accordance with BS EN 1176 and ASTM F1918 standards.
  • Research and develop new design ideas, styles and techniques.
  • Work closely with Design, Sales and Production teams throughout each project.
  • Assist with the pricing and costing of project concepts where required.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting agreed deadlines.
  • Adapt designs in response to customer feedback and changing project requirements.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Product Design, Industrial Design or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of two years' experience using SolidWorks.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to confidently interpret both 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across different departments.
  • A creative approach combined with practical problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team.
Working Pattern
  • Full-time
  • Monday to Friday
  • Exeter-based
  • Hybrid or fully remote working will be considered for the right candidate
Salary & Benefits
  • £26,500-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience
