7.5t Home Delivery Driver – Ipswich

Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting 7.5t Home Delivery Drivers for a well-known multinational client based in Ipswich.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced 7.5t Driver / Home Delivery Driver to join a large, established organisation, with the potential to secure a permanent position and access excellent long-term career opportunities.

The Role – 7.5t Home Delivery Driver

As a 7.5t Home Delivery Driver, you will work alongside a Drivers Mate, delivering large and heavy goods directly to customers' homes.

Products can include:

TVs and electrical goods

Flat-pack furniture

Gym equipment

White goods

Other large household products

The role involves delivering products into the customer's room of choice, so you must be physically fit and comfortable with regular heavy lifting and manual handling. Full training will be provided on the delivery process.

7.5t Home Delivery Driver – Hours & Pay

• Pay: £17.15 per hour including holiday pay
• Overtime: £22.97 per hour after 48 hours
• 06:00 start
• Shifts approximately 8–10 hours
• 5 or 6-day working rota
• Company operates 7 days a week
• Weekend work required
• Potential for a permanent contract after 12 weeks

Assessment & Induction

Successful applicants will complete:

A 7.5t driving assessment

Multiple-choice Highway Code and tachograph exam

Subsequent company induction

Newly qualified 7.5t Drivers are welcome to apply.

7.5t Home Delivery Driver – Requirements

You must have:

• A valid UK driving licence
• Valid CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No DD, DR or NI convictions
• Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy products
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable and organised approach to work
• Your own steel toe-cap safety boots
• Your own high-vis vest

Drug and alcohol testing may be carried out at any time at the client's discretion. A drug and alcohol test will also be completed as part of the assessment process.
