The position will suit someone from a heavy engineering, fabrication or manufacturing background who is confident working with industrial paint systems and protective coatings.
The Role Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for preparing and coating fabricated components to the required finish and protection standards.
Day-to-day duties will include:
- Applying protective paint systems to fabricated and engineered products
- Working with coatings designed for C3, C4 and C5 environments
- Using airless, air-assisted and pressure pot spraying equipment
- Preparing and mixing two-component coating systems
- Applying epoxy-based primers and associated finishes
- Preparing surfaces and masking components prior to painting
- Checking finished work for coverage, finish and overall quality
- Following site safety, quality and housekeeping procedures
You should be comfortable using a range of professional spraying equipment and have a good understanding of two-pack paint systems.
Experience working to C3–C5 corrosion protection requirements would be particularly beneficial.
Hours Two shift options are available:
Day Shift: Monday to Friday
Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday
The afternoon shift also attracts an additional 20% shift allowance.
Hourly Rate: £17.38 per hour
